About the CLASS TEXTS Program
I designed the CLASS TEXTS Program in response to instructors and professors who would like to provide their students with a simple and cost-effective way of purchasing class readings online. I often cringe at the prices my students pay for their books at the university book store -- often at prices higher than those they would pay at Amazon.com or some of the other online book retailers.
Using the CLASS TEXTS Program is easy for you and your students. Here's how it works:
- First, you e-mail me (gorski@earthlink.net) with:
- Your full name;
- Your institutional affiliation (college or university name);
- The full title of the class for which you are using the program;
- The semester for which you are using the program; and
- The titles, authors/editors, editions, and ISBNs of the books you have assigned for the class.
Note: You must send me a separate e-mail for each class for which you want to use the program.
- I create an original Web page through which students can easily purchase the books.
- I send you an e-mail, inviting you to review the page I have created and to send me any necessary corrections.
- Upon your "OK," I add your name to the "book lists by INSTRUCTOR" that you see to the left.
- You send your students to Transformations (http://www.edchange.org/transformations/). They can find a quick link to the CLASS TEXTS Program by clicking "Find your class texts now!" in the CLASS TEXTS Program box on the left side of the Transformations home page.
It's as easy as that!
