My students mean the world to me You help me view the world, you see From Japan and France, and China, too From India, Colombia, and Taiwan, a few. From over the world you bring your names You bring your thoughts, ideas and games. You teach me there are many ways To be a part of the world these days.
All of my students give me their life They hand me their expectations and trust so rife. I must try to present them the best of me To give them the world on a platter, you see. I try to be there for them when they are in need With questions, or assistance, or a shoulder, indeed. I want to help them weather this storm So they not feel so alone and forlorn.
There's Hiroko, so sweet, and Eric so fine And Sharon is like a good glass of wine. There's Devi a pearl, and Sonia a gem And Ayaka who's not like any of them. There's Yasu, so free, and HaiYan so real And Warming who knows he is the real deal. There's Jing, a beautiful woman I see And David, like a warm breeze passing over me.
If I were in a foreign place such as this I know they would help me, like a bro or a sis. So generous and good, such noteworthy traits I'm so lucky to have them, it is my fate. Teaching you is like winning the prize Touching my heart, touching your lives. And so during this month of love, I pine Will you be my Valentine?
Your Grateful Teacher, Lynn
